Listening to scanner traffic on a slow news day is one of the more tedious jobs at the Outpost.

But slow news can be a good thing. It means no one in Humboldt is being maimed or committing heinous acts of violence at the moment.

It also means LoCO has time to report on the sillier things happening around town, like when an officer occasionally rescues a turkey trapped in a garage. Here’s today’s scanner audio of just that. Enjoy!
