City of Eureka press release: 

The City of Eureka will continue active construction during nighttime hours on the final phase of the Mad River Pipeline Project. Nighttime construction will begin at 6pm Thursday night and continue until 7am Friday morning. Friday night construction will begin at 6pm with work continuing through late Saturday morning. This work will require traffic control with lane closures and detours at times. Motorists should expect delays. Please use alternate routes if possible. Construction activities on Harris Street will be focused between O’Neil Lane and Walford Avenue.

The patience and cooperation of motorists, bicyclists, pedestrians, residents, and businesses in the vicinity of the work zone is greatly appreciated. We realize the construction will be an inconvenience, however this work is necessary to provide safe and reliable water service to the citizens served by the City of Eureka and the Humboldt Community Services District.
