National Weather Service of Eureka:

High Surf Advisory in effect this afternoon. Large breakers in the surf zone will reach 19 to 22 feet this afternoon through early Sunday morning. Stay safe today by staying farther back from the surf and off of rocks and jetties.

An upper-level storm system crossing the region will send a weak cold front eastward across the region today. Widespread rainfall will develop along and behind this front, with the rainfall becoming heavy at times. Please use extra caution when traveling. Localized flooding in poor drainage areas may develop. There is also some potential for rock slides as well.
