Original Post: LoCO readers alert us to an assault that occurred at the Arcata Co-op this morning in which one man was stabbed. Social media posts indicate that bystanders assisted the older gentleman until emergency personnel could respond to the scene.  

Arcata Police Chief Tom Chapman confirms that his department is actively searching for the suspect in the case and tells us they will release a description shortly. We will update this post when we know more.
