Fortuna Volunteer Fire Department announcement:
The memorial service for Fortuna Fire Captain Tim Smith will be held October 9th at 2 p.m. at the Fortuna River Lodge. Tim’s family along with the fire service of Humboldt County will be honoring Tim’s memory with a full firefighter procession and ceremony.
The procession will be in the form of two divisions that will come together in front of the Fortuna Fire Station on Fortuna Blvd. at approximately 1 p.m. where it will continue north on Fortuna Blvd / Main Street turning south on 12th Street and proceeding to the River Lodge for the ceremony.
