On Saturday, for the 52nd consecutive year, Eureka citizens celebrated the most brightly colored shrub in their front yards.
The 2017 Rhododendron Parade inspired many to unfold camping chairs along Eureka’s thoroughfares to watch their neighbors and a few flower-adorned floats pass by. Local organizations promoted themselves, school marching bands blared, and small children dove into the street after candy flung at them. America is still here.
