Yes they did.
After weeks of deliberation and uncertainty, the Yes We Cann Parade poured through Arcata’s streets this afternoon. Despite last-minute approval by the City of Arcata, event organizers managed to put the everything together in time for today’s celebration.
The event started with a parade at 2 p.m., beginning at Humboldt State University and ending at the Arcata Plaza. People then convened at the Arcata Ballpark for the “hullabaloo,” which offered music, food, drink, and — if you had your 215 card handy — Cannabis.
