(UPDATE) Inmate Escapes Work Crew Near Ferndale Fairgrounds
UPDATE, 4:42 p.m.: From the Sheriff’s Office:
Escaped Humboldt
County Correctional Facility work crew inmate Jordan Benjamin Harris
has not been located.
On Friday, Dec. 1,
2017 around 11 a.m. Harris, 28, escaped from an inmate work crew near
the Ferndale
Fairgrounds.
Harris is an
American Indian male, 6‘0” tall, 170 lbs, with short brown hair,
hazel eyes and a medium build. He has
a tattoo of ‘Yurok’ on his neck.
The multi-agency
search for Harris was called off at 3 p.m. Harris was last spotted in
the area of Russ Park around 3:30 p.m. Sheriff’s Deputies and the
Ferndale Police Department are still searching that area.

information on Harris’ location is asked to call the Humboldt County
Sheriff’s Office at (707) 445-7251.
