Humboldt’s long-diagnosed weather schizophrenia may flare up today in bolt form.
Our local National Weather Service skywatchers tell us that thunderstorm conditions will be prime in Humboldt, Mendocino, Del Norte and Trinity counties between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Tuesday. As if that weren’t fun enough, NWS states that “any thunderstorms that do develop will be capable of producing small hail, damaging wind gusts, lightning, and waterspouts over the ocean.”
Whee! Do you remember what you’re supposed to do when lightning threatens? If not, NWS passes on a handy rhyme:
“Remember, when thunder roars go indoors!”
