It rained last night.
As per usual aprรจs le deluge, the Outpost’s CHPWatch is showing lots of the the ol’ Mud/Dirt/Rocks and Traffic Hazards. There is going to be more of that today.
Seven black cattle are roaming Eel River Drive right now, and if that isn’t a classic telegram from Jehovah I don’t know what would be. Does He have to spell it out for you? It’s going to rain some more!
Kneeland School’s Greta Turney tells us:
There is a tree down about three miles down from the school and PG&E will not let anyone through for at least two more hours. School is closed for Kneeland today. Just getting the word out.
See more on the Kneeland power outage here, and find your own special outage at the LoCO Blackoutbot page, where you can find updates on your own situation as soon as PG&E puts ‘em up. Half of McKinleyville went down for an hour or so in the middle of the night.
More rain coming today and tomorrow, then it’s gonna be nice. Enjoy it while you can. Drive cautiously.
