An unknown driver reportedly crashed through the wooden fence at the Mad River Brewing Company in Blue Lake sometime between late last night and early this morning.

Tap Room Manager Gini Noggle reported on her Facebook page this morning that the driver is still unknown, but that the suspect appeared to be driving a Volkswagen.

“Hey Humboldt! Sometime between 11p.m. last night and 8:30 a.m. this morning, someone in a VW plowed through the fence at Mad River Brewing Co.,” Noggle wrote on Facebook. “If anyone out there has any info I’d sure love to talk them. Feel free to message me privately although public shaming is fine too. I can tell you the VW has extensive front end damage and at least one busted headlight BECAUSE WE HAVE ALL THOSE PARTS.”

When contacted this morning, Noggle told the Outpost that a police report has been filed and that the car may have been located.
