Police and paramedics were called to the the Eureka Waterfront, just underneath the Samoa Bridge, a little after 4:30 this afternoon, after they received word that a man had been assaulted and robbed at that location.
Ofc. Cory Crinch of the Eureka Police Department tells the Outpost that three people — two men and one woman — are being sought in connection with the attack, which left the victim wounded. He was taken from the scene in an ambulance.
The suspected robbers made off with clothing and a cell phone, Crnich said.
The assailants were last seen heading eastbound along the waterfront. One of the suspects was described as a man of stocky build, possibly Native American, wearing a 49ers hoodie
