Steven James Pollick passed away at his home in Arcata from complications of diabetes on August 25, 2017. He was born September 17, 1970 and attended Gilroy High School, Gavilan College, U.C. Santa Cruz and Humboldt State University.

Once Steve arrived in Arcata, he never left. Steve preferred the cooler weather and outdoor activities Humboldt has to offer. He loved to golf, bike, hike, fish, play disc golf and would often kayak before work. Steve spent 13 years working at Myrtlewood Liquors and John’s Fine Cigars, where he made a lot of friends and now greatly missed by many customers. He enjoyed sports and most passionate about the San Jose Sharks.

Steve is fondly remembered by everyone for his great sense of humor and loud, infectious laugh. His favorite karaoke song was Tequila by The Champs.

A celebration of life has already occurred in Gilroy for close family and friends. If you would like to honor Steven in any way, please donate in his name to any animal shelter. He loved animals.
