Lordy, lordy, lordy. It’s a hot one today.
While you were still eating breakfast, the sun was already hard at work breaking heat records.
The local National Weather Service office reports that Eureka broke a 38-year-old temperature record this morning.
A record high of 76 degrees was recorded at 9:45 a.m., and there’s still plenty of day to go around. The previous record for September 2, was 75 degrees set back in 1979.
