With conditions listed as hazardous in the Klamath river valley and mandatory evacuations ordered in parts of Trinity and Siskiyou counties, several school districts in the region have opted to cancel classes for Tuesday., Sept. 5
All eight schools in the Klamath-Trinity Joint Unified School District will be out of commission tomorrow.

- Orleans Elementary School
- Weitchpec Yurok Magnet/Elementary School
- Jack Norton Elementary School
- Captain John Continuation High School
- Two Rivers/Rivers Edge Community Day School
The Trinity County Office of Education has been making announcements throughout the day. Per the office’s Facebook page, the following schools will also be closed Tuesday:
- Lewiston Elementary School
- Alps View Continuation
- Cox Bar Elementary School
- Trinity High School
- Trinity River Community Day School
- Weaverville Elementary School
- Burnt Ranch Elementary School
- Junction City Elementary School
- Douglas City Elementary School
