While triple-digit temperatures scorch much of Northern California this weekend, Humboldt’s coastal areas are in store for spectacular, sunny weather in the mid 60s.
Redding and the Central Valley will see the worst of the heat wave, with temperatures rising past 105 degrees in some spots. Humboldt’s inland areas are also forecast for miserable temperatures in the 80s and 90s this weekend.
“Widespread triple-digit heat is expected Friday through Sunday, with the hottest temperatures of the year so far,” Sacramento’s National Weather Service office reports. “Temperatures are expected to peak on Saturday, with a near record high of 105 forecast for Sacramento (record 106, 1988).”
For you poor, unfortunate souls living inland, now may be a good time to plan a weekend getaway to the coast. If you already live here, rejoice! You live in paradise.
