It is with great sadness that the family of Kristin Irene Garlinghouse (Smith) announce that she lost her battle with cancer on October 27, 2018 at the young age of 29, surrounded by family. She was born July 9, 1989 in Paradise, California, to Mike and Tracy Smith. She was a wonderful mother, friend, daughter and sister. Kristin had a passion for the outdoors which included hiking, camping and jumping from high places while swimming.

Kristin is preceded in death by her grandmother, Sandra Carnes and her grandfather, Don Smith. She is survived by her father, Mike Smith, mother, Tracy Smith, sister, Amanda Orr (Jesse) , brothers, Michael Smith (Megan) , Daniel Smith and Stephen Smith, beloved son, Cash Dean Garlinghouse, cherished daughter, Kasandra Garlinghouse, boyfriend, Chad Lourenzo, 2 nephews, Alex and Bryce and 1 niece, Isabel.

There will be a celebration of life held at Rio Dell Fire Hall on November 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. This will be potluck style and the family is asking that all guest bring a dish to share. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you do a random act of kindness with the thought of Kristin in your heart.
