Teresa Sue Ellis (Holliday) passed away on November 7, 2018, after fighting a courageous battle with ALS. She was the daughter of Dovie C. Holliday and Wilburn F. Holliday.

Teresa was born and raised in San Fernando, California. She attended Oceana High School. She moved to Humboldt County as a young adult, where she eventually had her three children.

Teresa was the manager of Loleta Market for years, where she met countless friends, including her good friend Pixie and many others. She enjoyed working with the public and was always a favorite among customers. Within the last five years she moved to Orick to work as the manager of the market. She met many friends there as well, including her friend Edie, who she enjoyed going to the auction with.

Teresa had a place in her heart for those in need, and would help people without expecting anything in return. She was a positive person who accepted people for who they are and always made them feel comfortable in her presence. Teresa was a devoted animal lover who was especially bonded to her favorite dog, Beatrice, who was like another child to her. She was a lover of cinema and particularly had a fondness of Patrick Swayze.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Holliday. She is survived by her Mother and Father, Dovie C. and Wilburn F. Holliday. Her brothers, Michael and Daniel of Vacaville and Bakersfield. Her son, Brandon Holliday of Fortuna, Anthony Ellis of Eureka and Amanda Ellis of Orick, Ca. Her grandchildren, Haydee and Violet Ellis, and Wyatt and Kenna Holliday. And countless other aunts, cousins and friends.

Her kind soul and positive spirit will be loved and missed by many. Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of life, at Moonstone Beach in Trinidad on November 24 at 1 p.m.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Edie and the community of Orick for the fundraiser they held in 2016.
