On November 26, 2018, deputies with the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, Investigations Division, and Code Enforcement Division served two search warrants in Weaverville.

Carson

The first search warrants was served at a commercial building in Weaverville and led to the seizure of 500 pounds of processed marijuana, 8.24 pounds of concentrated cannabis, $25,359 of US currency, and evidence of unpermitted sales of marijuana. The renter of the building, Christopher Carson, DOB: 12/29/73, originally from Ohio, was later arrested and booked into the Trinity County Jail. 

The second search warrant was served at Carson’s residence in Weaverville and led to the seizure of $6,000 of US currency, three pounds of processed marijuana, 10 firearms and evidence of unpermitted sales of marijuana. Two of the firearms, both rifles with high capacity magazines, were illegal to possess in California. 

Christopher Carson was not in the cannabis permitting system in Trinity County.
