James “Denis” Jones, born on February 22, 1953 in Eureka to the late Mary Grammer and the late Robert Jones, passed away at age 65 on September 8, 2018 in Redding.

He was a commercial truck driver for around 30 years until retiring in 2017 from Eureka Truck Lines. He spent 17 total years in the military between the Coast Guard and the National Guard. There was nothing he loved more than his daughter and his grandchildren and spoiling them as much as he can. He liked spending time when he can at the casino playing the slots.He was loved and known for his smartass attitude.

James is survived by his daughter, Ashley Jones; brother, Bobby Jones and sister-in-law Bev Jones; grandchildren, Hailey Meeks and Autto Comarsh; and nephews, Justin Jones and Dusty Jones, his Aunt Sharon Bolich and many cousins .
