Accomplished marketing professional Bill
Prescott will be joining Lost Coast Communications as its general
manager effective September 12.
Prescott.
Prescott brings a
wealth of experience to Lost Coast, including stints as Director of
Marketing for Los Bagels, and as Marketing Communications Specialist
for The Sun Valley Group. He currently serves as a board member of
Humboldt Made and a Commissioner on the Eureka Economic Development
Commission. His expertise leading both traditional and digital
campaigns together with his understanding of national, regional and
local promotions will be a great benefit to the Lost Coast
Communications community.
Founded
in 1996 by Cliff Berkowitz and Jacqueline Debets as KHUM, “Radio
without the Rules,” Lost Coast Communications has grown into a
100% local multimedia business that includes four local radio
stations (KHUM, KSLG “K-Slug”, KWPT “The Point” and KLGE
“94.1 the Lounge”), as well as the Lost Coast Outpost and the Wild
Rivers Outpost. It now has the largest audience reach of any media
enterprise on the North Coast.
Patrick
Cleary, president of Lost Coast Communications: “I have known Bill
for many years and am very pleased that he will be joining our team.
He has great knowledge of marketing, especially in the digital world,
and brings great enthusiasm and passion. I feel confident Bill will
be a great fit for our company to take it to the next level.”
“I
am excited to share my extensive marketing knowledge with the clients
of Lost Coast Communications. Since coming to Humboldt County in
2001, I’ve been a supporter of the Lost Coast stations, and I
remember when the Lost Coast Outpost first started as an upstart news
website. We live in a wonderful place and I am eager to help our
local businesses succeed,” adds Prescott.
