Based on the investigation into the December 10, 2019 robbery of a coffee shop,
Melbourne Miller (39 of Eureka) was identified as the suspect. On December 11, 2019,
at about 9:30 a.m., a Eureka Police Department Parks and Waterfront Ranger contacted
Miller in the greenbelt near the 3300 block of Broadway in Eureka.
Miller was taken into custody without further incident. Miller was transported and
booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility for robbery, possession of a
controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia, and probation violation.
