A family from Hoopa was chosen to be interviewed on the “Today Show” this morning during their trip to New York City.
The Two Rivers Tribune reports that 11-year-old Uriah Cheng and his mom Lindsay McCovey were interviewed by “Today Show” host Craig Melvin as they stood in the Rockefeller Center crowd that frequently serves as a backdrop for the popular NBC morning show.
During the quick interview, Cheng could be seen holding up a colorful sign that read “FIRST TIME IN NYC FROM HOOPA.”
Cheng told Melvin during their on-air chat that he and his mom headed straight for the show after touching down in New York City at 2 a.m.
Way to represent Humboldt, Uriah and fam’.
