Local resident Helen Sweezo turned 100 today!
Helen was supposed to ride in the Rhododendron Parade and have a big celebration at the Eureka Woman’s Club over the weekend but both events were canceled due to the Shelter in Place order.
We talked to Helen’s family and decided to bring the Rhody parade to her! The Eureka Police Department, Humboldt Bay Fire, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, Old Town Rotary, Eureka Woman’s Club, Michael David, Rex Bohn, Cass and Larry Doss, Creech Family, and many of Helen’s friends and family paraded by her house in her honor.
