PREVIOUSLY: Yurok Tribe Closes Reservation in Response to Rapid Increase in COVID Cases On and Off Tribal Territory

In response to the recent spike in COVID-19 cases in Humboldt County, Redwood National and State Parks has temporarily temporarily closed several public facilities and lookout points in the Klamath River area.

“In support of the Yurok Tribe and county COVID-19 guidelines, we have temporarily closed some of the parks’ view points, facilities and parking lots near the Klamath River,” RNSP announced on social media today.

These locations include: High Bluffs Overlook, Klamath River Overlook, Flint Ridge backcountry camp and the Flint Ridge and Alder Camp parking lots.
