From Trinidad Union Superintendent Katie Cavanagh:

In recognition of the COVID-19 pandemic and after thoughtful consideration for our community the District has determined that it is necessary to close our school for this coming week, March 16-20. This decision was made so that we are better able to ensure continuous and ongoing education for children while maintaining a safe environment for our students and faculty. This is an opportunity for you as families to communicate with your children and will be a time for our staff to prepare as we evaluate this very fluid situation. We will be developing a strategy for the best possible continuity of learning, and is done as a precaution as we do not have a confirmed case of COVID-19 in our District.

We know that our school is the heart of our community, and we are fortunate for that. We feel it is our obligation to support the well-being and safety of all those associated with Trinidad School.

You can expect an update on Tuesday afternoon and more information from me by Friday to address the following week as we will constantly be re-evaluating and planning.
