As an unusual school year draws to an end and students plan for their futures, a group of local high school students collaborated on a news video addressing some of the concerns teens are experiencing during the COVID-19 crisis.

The video — produced by a group of juniors from Northcoast Preparatory Academy for their school’s media channel, HeronTV — features students from high schools across Humboldt County asking Public Health Officer Dr. Teresa Frankovich their questions about life for teenagers during the pandemic.

Topics include when classes will realistically resume, what the fall semester will look like, how teens can cope with isolation, when they will be able to see their friends again and what students can do to help.
