President Jackson Suffers Personal Loss
It is with great sadness that we share with you that President Jackson’s beloved 22-year-old son, TJ, died in a tragic car accident in South Dakota on Tuesday.
We ask the campus community to please keep the President, Mrs. Jackson, and their daughter in your thoughts during this time of bereavement. More information on ways to support President Jackson and his family will be forthcoming in future communications.
Jackson was announced as HSU’s new president in May 2019 and officially started his tenure in July of that year. Prior to taking on his current role he served as president of Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota.
