The Humboldt County Office of Emergency Services has issued an evacuation warning for much of the southeast corner of the county — Alderpoint, Palo Verde, Island Mountain and Harris — due to the threat of fast-moving fire.

The warning — one step below an evacuation order — urges residents to get ready to leave their homes at a moment’s notice.
