Daisy Mae Opal Leen, age 29 of Eureka, has been booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility in relation to this morning’s stabbing investigation. Leen was booked into the facility on charges of attempted murder (PC 664/187(a)), assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm (PC 245(a)(1)) and inflicting injury upon a child (PC 273d(a)), in addition to a warrant on unrelated charges of PRCS Revocation (PC 3455(A)), evading a peace officer (VC 2800.2) and driving under the influence (VC 23152(F)).
The two juvenile victims are reportedly in stable condition and are expected to survive. One juvenile has been airlifted to an out-of-area hospital due to the extent of his injuries. Due to the relationship of the juveniles and the suspect, the victims will be placed in safe custody.
