Election season is upon us! It is your time to choose which of the available options for elected office are for you. At this time around, the main choices you have to make, apart from the statewide propositions and such, are at the ultra-local level — city council, school board, community service district, etc.

(There is one race left over from the June primary, and that’s the runoff for county Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters, who runs the county’s election apparatus and also records deeds of trust and such.)

The League of Women Voters and other local organizations are once again putting on their regular series of candidate forums. Below: Find a guide to when and where you can learn more about the candidates. We’ll update this schedule if/when we learn of more, and we’ll link it from the LoCO Elections main page.

Speaking of LoCO Elections: It’s been slow going in this cycle so far, but the questions and the answers for local candidates are starting to pick up the pace as we get closer to voting. Check it out, and add your question if you have one! (And, hey, candidates! Time’s a-wastin’!)
