… or, as a Dungeons & Dragons campaign!
The adventurers are hired by a group of concerned citizens in the Alderpoint area of the County of Humboldt to investigate the Kalifornia Green Akres cannabis cultivation operation. The citizens are worried about the potential environmental impact of the large-scale cultivation on their community.
As the adventurers begin their investigation, they discover that the Kalifornia Green Akres operation is not just a simple cannabis cultivation site. It is actually a front for a group of evil druids who are using the power of the plants to corrupt the land and bend it to their will.
The adventurers must navigate through the treacherous cultivation area, facing off against plant creatures and druidic guardians as they try to uncover the true nature of the operation. Along the way, they will have to make difficult decisions about whether to destroy the plants to stop the druids, or try to find a way to save them without causing further harm to the land.
As they delve deeper into the operation, the adventurers will discover that the druids have been using the plants to create powerful magical potions and elixirs that can grant them immense power. The final showdown will take place in a hidden underground chamber, where the adventurers will have to confront the leader of the druidic cult and put an end to their dark plans.
If the adventurers are successful in defeating the druids and destroying the corrupt plants, they will be hailed as heroes by the citizens of Alderpoint and earn a handsome reward for their efforts. But if they fail, the land will be forever scarred by the evil magic of the druids, and the citizens will be left to deal with the consequences.
Are you brave enough to take on this dangerous quest and save the County of Humboldt from the dark influence of the Kalifornia Green Akres cultivation site?

… or, as an episode of Seinfeld!
The episode opens with Jerry, George, Elaine, and Kramer sitting in Jerry’s apartment, discussing their plans for the weekend. George mentions that he heard about a controversial issue happening in Humboldt County involving a cannabis farm seeking a conditional use permit. The group decides to take a road trip to Humboldt County to witness the drama unfold.
When they arrive in Humboldt County, they head to the meeting regarding Earley Farms, LLC’s conditional use permit. They are surprised to see how heated the debate is among the residents, with some in favor of the farm continuing operations and others vehemently against it.
As the meeting progresses, Jerry notices a familiar face in the crowd - Newman. Newman stands up and gives a passionate speech about the negative effects of the cannabis farm on the community, citing noise pollution, increased traffic, and a decrease in property values. The group is shocked to see Newman taking such a strong stance on the issue.
Meanwhile, Elaine strikes up a conversation with a local farmer who is in favor of the cannabis farm, citing the economic benefits it brings to the area. Kramer, always looking for an opportunity to make some money, starts talking to the farm owners about investing in their business.
Just as tensions are at their highest, Jerry receives a call from his agent, who informs him that a documentary crew wants to film a segment about the meeting for a new reality show. Jerry hesitantly agrees, knowing that this is bound to make the situation even more chaotic.
In the end, the group leaves Humboldt County with more questions than answers, pondering the complex nature of the cannabis industry and its impact on communities. Newman, who had become the face of the resistance against the farm, is seen sneaking a joint behind a tree, leaving everyone wondering just how sincere his activism really is. And Kramer, now a self-proclaimed cannabis entrepreneur, is already planning his next business venture in the industry.

The Pokemon duel takes place in the Benbow area of Humboldt County, where Panther Canyon Investments LLC has received a Conditional Use Permit for outdoor commercial cannabis cultivation. The two Pokemon trainers, representing the applicant and the planning commission, face off in a battle to determine the fate of the project.
On one side, representing Panther Canyon Investments LLC, is a Vileplume. This Pokemon uses its flower petals to control the weather, creating the perfect conditions for cannabis cultivation. Vileplume’s ability to manipulate nature gives it an advantage in ensuring a successful harvest for the project.
Opposing Vileplume is a Ludicolo, representing the planning commission. Ludicolo is known for its dance moves, which can create a rhythmic rain dance to disrupt Vileplume’s control over the weather. Ludicolo’s water-based attacks also pose a threat to the irrigation water usage of the project.
As the battle unfolds, Vileplume’s weather control clashes with Ludicolo’s rain dance, creating a fierce storm on the battlefield. The two Pokemon trade powerful attacks, each trying to gain the upper hand in the duel.
Ultimately, it is a close match, but Vileplume’s mastery over nature proves to be too much for Ludicolo to handle. With a final flurry of petals, Vileplume emerges victorious, securing the Conditional Use Permit for Panther Canyon Investments LLC’s cannabis cultivation project.
The planning commission accepts the outcome of the duel, recognizing the strength and skill of Vileplume in ensuring the success of the project. The resolution is adopted, and the project moves forward with the approval of the Conditional Use Permit.

7. Garberville Sanitary District Water System Improvements Project General Plan Conformance Review and Special Permit Record Number
The Garberville Sanitary District is proposing to make improvements to their water system by replacing existing tanks and pump stations with new, larger ones. The project also includes upgrades to meet current standards and improve water storage capacity. The Planning Commission is being asked to review and approve the project. The staff recommends approving the General Plan Conformance Review and Special Permit, subject to certain conditions. There have been public comments and agency involvement in the project, but overall, it is deemed to be in compliance with the community plan and General Plan.
— LoCOBot
In the County of Humboldt, on the fourth of April,
The Planning Commission gathered once more.
To discuss the Garberville Sanitary District’s plight,
Water system improvements were the focus, just right.
With tanks leaking and lacking in capacity,
The GSD sought a new plan for tranquillity.
Out with the old, and in with the new,
To ensure water supply for me and you.
A 550,000-gallon tank, pre-stressed and strong,
And a 77,000-gallon bolted steel tank to belong.
Pump stations upgraded, generators in place,
To meet daily needs and fire suppression’s embrace.
The Robertson Tank demolished and gone,
A new era of water storage, at dawn.
But challenges arose, as they often do,
With drainage concerns and maintenance, too.
Yet through it all, the GSD and community,
Worked together with unity and ingenuity.
Now the Planning Commission did agree,
To approve the project, for all to see.
So here’s to Garberville, a town that cares,
For its water and future, with project repairs.
May the tanks fill and the taps flow,
Thanks to the Commission, and all who know.

… or, as a World War I infantryman's letter home to his sweetheart!
My dearest Jane,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to you from the trenches, under heavy fire from German artillery. The war is raging all around us, but in the midst of it all, thoughts of you are always with me, giving me hope and strength.
I wanted to tell you about a matter that has come up regarding the I and I Ranch, LLC Permit Extension here in Humboldt County. A two-year extension for an approved permit, which includes a Special Permit for cannabis cultivation, is being considered proposed. If approved, the extension will expire on April 4th, 2026.
I recommend that the Planning Commission adopts the resolution which finds that all required findings have been made for the extension and approves it subject to the original conditions.
The project is located in the Phillipsville area on Dyerville Loop Rd, and no changes to the project are proposed. An environmental review has been conducted, and the project is not appealable to the California Coastal Commission.
The cultivation will take place in greenhouses with onsite processing and irrigation from a rainwater catchment pond. The project still complies with all relevant regulations and requirements.
I miss you more than words can express, and I long for the day when I can hold you in my arms again. Please know that you are always in my thoughts and prayers.
Forever yours,
Charles

Starfish: *giggling* Dude, did you hear about the SN Indianola Coastal Development Permit and Special Permits?
Noodles: *giggles* Uhh, what?
Starfish: Yeah man, they had this whole meeting with the Planning Commission about after-the-fact tree removal and planting like 1,350 redwood trees.
Noodles: *laughs* That’s a lot of trees, man. What were they smoking when they came up with that idea?
Starfish: *laughs* Probably the good stuff, dude. But hey, at least they made sure no sensitive plants or wetlands were harmed, right?
Noodles: *nods* True, true. Gotta protect nature, man. Hey, do you think we should plant some trees too?
Starfish: *laughs* Maybe tomorrow, dude. Right now, let’s just enjoy the high and think about our own coastal development permit for a beachside bungalow.
Noodles: *laughs* Sounds like a plan, Starfish. Let’s just chill and ride the wave, man.

… or, as a heartbreaking country/western song!
(Verse 1)
Driving down Fickle Hill Road, my heart begins to ache
Seeing the venue for special events, just another mistake
The Ridgefield Events, a place for weddings and more
But all I see is a dream I had, walking out the door
(Chorus)
Oh, Ridgefield Events, where happiness should be
But for me, it’s just a reminder of what used to be
I hear the laughter, the music, the love in the air
But all I feel is the emptiness, the pain that’s always there
(Verse 2)
They say there’s no major issues, no substantial impact
But how can they not see the tears that I can’t hold back
The noise, the traffic, the fire risk they ignore
But all I see is a love that’s lost forevermore
(Chorus)
Oh, Ridgefield Events, where happiness should be
But for me, it’s just a reminder of what used to be
I hear the laughter, the music, the love in the air
But all I feel is the emptiness, the pain that’s always there
(Bridge)
The letters of support, the concerns that were raised
The approval from agencies, the hopes that were praised
But all I see is a heart that’s breaking in two
A love that once bloomed but now withered and flew
(Chorus)
Oh, Ridgefield Events, where happiness should be
But for me, it’s just a reminder of what used to be
I hear the laughter, the music, the love in the air
But all I feel is the emptiness, the pain that’s always there
(Outro)
So I drive away from Ridgefield, with tears in my eyes
Knowing that my heartache, will never subside
Oh, Ridgefield Events, a place of joy and bliss
But for me, it’s just a haunting memory, of a love I’ll always miss.
