4. U-Haul Building Signage, Conditional Use Permit Modification Assessor Parcel Numbers (APN) 508-061-010 and 508-061-008 Record No.

The Planning Commission is considering a request to add more signs to two U-Haul buildings in McKinleyville. The proposed signs follow the guidelines set in the original plan for the shopping center where the buildings are located. The staff recommends approving the request as it meets the requirements of the General Plan and Zoning Ordinance. The additional signage would not have negative impacts on the environment or cultural resources. The U-Haul buildings are located far from public roads, so the signs would not be highly visible from those areas. The request has been reviewed by other agencies, and they either had no comments or recommended approval.

… or, as a Pokemon duel!

Trainers at the McKinleyville Pokemon Gym were gathered for a battle, with the arena set up in the Mill Creek Marketplace. The challenger, Trainer Marco, sent out his trusty partner, U-Haul South, a massive Pokemon with signs adorning its body. The defending champion, Trainer Geoff, countered with U-Haul North, a sturdy Pokemon with signage of its own.

The battle began with U-Haul South using its “DRIVE-IN STORAGE” move, summoning a flurry of signs to confuse U-Haul North. However, U-Haul North retaliated with its “Climate Controlled” ability, creating a protective shield around itself.

As the battle raged on, U-Haul South attempted to overwhelm U-Haul North with its multiple directional signs, but Trainer Geoff had prepared for this. U-Haul North used its “Storage Unit Doors” attack, sending images of keys and police officers to disrupt U-Haul South’s strategy.

In a last-ditch effort, Trainer Marco commanded U-Haul South to unleash its “24/7 Self-Storage” move, hoping to catch U-Haul North off guard. But Trainer Geoff remained calm and instructed U-Haul North to counter with a powerful “U-Haul Logo” strike, knocking U-Haul South off balance.

In the end, U-Haul North emerged victorious, thanks to Trainer Geoff’s strategic planning and quick thinking. The crowd cheered as U-Haul North stood tall, a symbol of resilience and strength in the face of adversity. As the battle came to a close, both trainers shook hands and congratulated each other on a well-fought duel.

5. Moser Properties Extension of Parcel Map Subdivision Application Number

This document is about requesting a two-year extension for a commercial subdivision project in McKinleyville, CA. The project involves creating 12 commercial lots in the Airport Business Park. The subdivision was previously approved in 2007 and needed subsequent extensions. The extension request is the final one allowed and will expire in 2027. The project meets all the necessary requirements and environmental regulations. If approved, it will not have significant changes from the original project. The Planning Commission is recommended to adopt the resolution for the extension.

… or, as a science-fiction story!

It was the year 2025, in the County of Humboldt, where the Planning Commission was meeting to discuss a proposed extension for the Moser Properties subdivision. The project, originally approved in 2007, aimed to create 12 commercial lots within the Airport Business Park. The lots would range in size and be served by community water and sewer.

As the commissioners reviewed the project details, a strange occurrence took place. Suddenly, a holographic projection appeared in the center of the room, showing a futuristic cityscape unlike anything they had ever seen before. The image displayed towering skyscrapers, advanced transportation systems, and bustling streets filled with people and robots alike.

A voice echoed through the room, emanating from the hologram. “Greetings, residents of Humboldt County. I come from the future, a time where humanity has achieved great technological advancements. We have come to offer you a chance to participate in an intergalactic expansion project.”

The commissioners were in awe, unsure of how to react to this unexpected visitation. The hologram continued to explain that the Moser Properties subdivision could be the key to unlocking a portal to other dimensions, allowing for the exchange of knowledge, resources, and technology with civilizations from across the galaxy.

As they deliberated on this incredible proposal, the room began to shimmer and fade away, transporting them to a distant planet teeming with life. The commissioners found themselves surrounded by alien beings, each eager to engage in trade and communication with the people of Humboldt County.

In the following days and weeks, the Moser Properties extension became known as the gateway to a new era of exploration and discovery. The once mundane subdivision now served as a hub for interstellar travel, research, and collaboration between Earth and the vast reaches of outer space.

And so, the County of Humboldt embarked on a journey beyond their wildest dreams, shaping the future of not only their own community but of the entire galaxy. The Planning Commission’s decision to approve the extension had opened the door to endless possibilities and a future filled with endless wonder.

1. Henderson PMS Assessor Parcel Numbers (APN) 500-141-045, 500-201-003 Record No.

The County of Humboldt is considering subdividing a 4.5-acre property into two parcels, despite not meeting the minimum requirements set by the General Plan and Zoning Ordinance. The applicant is requesting a variance to allow for the subdivision, but staff is recommending denial due to inconsistencies with land use regulations. The Planning Commission will need to make a decision on whether to approve or deny the subdivision.

… or, as a Rodney Dangerfield joke!

I tell ya, I saw the Henderson PMS parcel map subdivision in the Bayside area, and let me tell ya, they wanted to split a 4.55-acre parcel into two smaller ones. I mean, come on, they’re requesting a variance for a substandard parcel and the parcels won’t even meet the minimum size required by the zoning ordinance! It’s like they’re trying to pack a pound of baloney into a half-pound bag over there in Humboldt County, no respect at all!

The County of Humboldt is discussing a plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the region by 40% by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2045. They are seeking input from the Planning Commission on this plan and its environmental impacts. The plan involves collaboration with cities and other organizations in the region. … or, as a conversation between two very stoned people named Starfish and Noodles!

Starfish: Yo, Noodles, have you heard about this Humboldt Regional Climate Action Plan thing?

Noodles: Yeah, man, I think I saw something about it. They want to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 40% below 1990 levels by 2030.

Starfish: Woah, that’s intense. I wonder how they’re gonna do that.

Noodles: It says they have all these measures and actions for carbon-free energy, building energy use, transportation, waste, water/wastewater, and more. They even have a Regional Climate Committee.

Starfish: That’s cool. It’s like everyone is working together to save the planet.

Noodles: Yeah, and they’re implementing CEQA GHG Emissions Thresholds to assess future development projects. It’s all about being environmentally conscious.

Starfish: That’s awesome. I’m all for protecting the environment, man.

Noodles: Me too, dude. We should try to reduce our own carbon footprint too.

Starfish: Definitely, let’s start by recycling more and using less plastic.

Noodles: Agreed. And maybe we can even join a local environmental group to do more.

Starfish: Sounds like a plan, Noodles. Let’s do our part to make Humboldt County a greener place.

Noodles: For sure, Starfish. Let’s save the planet, one step at a time.
