THURSDAY LOWDOWN: Evan Vest Sucks
Above: Total dork
There’s no official metric for this sort of thing, but we’d argue that over the last decade no one has logged more stage time trying to pry laughs from Humboldt’s blitzed and blazed than has Evan Vest. A loyal steward of the local comedy scene, it was rare for a week to pass without spotting him on the mic at Savage Henry Comedy Club in one capacity or another.
Well, all things must pass. Vest recently announced he’s leaving Humboldt for Eugene to be closer to family. But he’s not slipping out quietly. For his final act, he’ll endure the taunts of his peers at The Roast of Evan Vest this Thursday night at the club. Details on how to witness the carnage await in your Lowdown listings below.
