(Re)Debris: A Marine Debris Educational Sculpture
Inspired by Bandon, Oregon’s Washed Ashore project and funded by a grant from the Coastal Commission, The Coastal Programs of the North Coast Environmental Center and SCRAP Humboldt present (Re)Debris a marine debris educational sculpture.
This sculpture will be built utilizing trash gathered from beach cleanups and will take the form of a local creature affected by the harms of plastics and other pollution in our oceans. The creature will be announced at the first community building workshop on Tuesday, July 8.
Be a part of the art and help bring this creature to life.
The community is invited to drop-in and participate in the sculpture building process at SCRAP Humboldt’s The (Re)Workshop at 101 H street in Arcata.
