Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office press release: 

On 09-22-2014, at approximately 9:00 a.m. Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Deputies assisted by the California Campaign Against Marijuana Planting (C.A.M.P.) conducted open field marijuana investigations and eradication in the Blocksburg and Dobbins Creek area of Humboldt County. They located and eradicated 4376 growing marijuana plants that ranged in size from 4’ to 6’ tall. No arrests were made and the investigation is ongoing.

On 09-23-2014, at approximately 9:00 a.m. Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Deputies assisted by the California Campaign Against Marijuana Planting (C.A.M.P.) conducted open field marijuana investigations and eradication in the Lacks Creek Drainage, west of Hoopa. Deputies located 3,371 growing marijuana plants, ranging in size from 2’ to 7” tall, along with illegal grading, illegal timber conversion and illegal drafting of water from a local creek. No suspects were located at the scene and the case is being referred to California Fish and Wildlife and Cal-Fire. The investigation is ongoing.
