’Twas a what-did-we-do-to-deserve-this-nice-weather Saturday in Eureka, the perfect day for kids to run out in the street and dive for candy flung from brightly colored floats ridden by their smiling, waving neighbors. Yay, it’s the 2016 Rhododendron Parade, folks! Many a local organization, company or cause went all out to provide spectacle in the name of “Community!” Many of the floats had rhododendrons on them, too!

Meanwhile your Lost Coast Outpost prowled the sidelines snapping photos, waving back and competing with youngsters for aforementioned pavement candy. Let’s look at peekchures now!
