Original Post: Numerous LoCO readers in Eureka are hitting us up wondering why darkness is afflicting their domiciles.
LoCO’s Blackout Bot and PG&E to our knowledge have not yet uncovered the cause of the outage. Perhaps not coincidently, scanner traffic from just a few minutes ago indicated that a power line is down at the intersection of Buhne and Harrison streets. Seems plausible these are connected, no?
Why did the line take a dive? We will update this post if that answer manifests.
