Jail records released this morning reveal that the Arcata Police Department’s suspect in the fatal stabbing of a 19-year-old Humboldt State student early Saturday morning is Kyle Christopher Zoellner.
The department booked Zoellner into jail on murder charges over the weekend.
Zoellner was previously arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon in June 2013. His Facebook profile lists him as a native of Concord, Calif.
Arcata police had previously identified the suspect as a 23-year-old resident of McKinleyville, but had not released his name.
