The National Weather Service of Eureka reports that large westerly swells will produce 20 to 24-foot waves along Humboldt and Del Norte County shores tomorrow.
A high-surf advisory is in effect for all areas north of Cape Mendocino. The Mendo coast will also see decent sized breakers of 15 to 20 feet.
The NWS advises beachgoers to stay safe and avoid going near the waters edge. Let’s all harken back to the time some guy decided to drive a pick up out onto the North Jetty during a storm, and remember that the ocean can be very, very scary.
