A note from Open Door Community Health Centers:
Cheyenne Spetzler, the Spetzler family and Open Door Community Health Centers will hold a Celebration of Life for Herrmann Spetzler who died unexpectedly and peacefully March 13th . The event will be held at the Arcata Community Center on Monday, April 2nd starting at 4:30 p.m. Those who knew Herrmann are invited to attend.
“Herrmann had a vision for a better world and worked to make it a reality” says his wife Cheyenne. “From our arrival on the North Coast in 1977, Herrmann immersed himself in the possibilities of this community. He loved people, especially children. He valued his connections with his many friends, co‐ workers and professional colleagues.”
Representative Jared Huffman (CA‐02) is expected to be present at the celebration. “Herrmann maintained his passion for this community, for Open Door, and for providing quality health care to all. His vision is in good hands and will live on.”
“This is an opportunity to join with others to celebrate a life well lived” notes Kathleen Moxon, president of the Open Door Board of Directors. “We encourage those who worked with and were touched by Herrmann’s efforts to join us.”
