That salamander is gonna have a numb tongue.
This photo, taken by our friends at Redwood National and State Park, shows a giant salamander taking a giant-salamander-sized bite out of a banana slug on the forest floor.
“It’s the perfect time for a mid-afternoon snack!” the National Parks Service wrote on Facebook yesterday.
A spokesperson for the Parks Service told the Outpost they were unsure when exactly this image was captured, but said a local ranger took the photo inside the park sometime within the last few days.
