Redding Police Department: 

Since June 6, 2018, Redding Police Investigators have continued the investigation to identify the responsibles for stealing a vehicle with 14 show dogs from In-N-Out restaurant. The vehicle and show dogs were located and recovered in south Redding on June 7, 2018.

Benjamin David Larson.

Investigator Townsley obtained video surveillance from the In-N-Out restaurant and learned two suspects were involved in the theft of the vehicle and dogs. He developed information that led to the suspect’s identities and obtained arrest warrants for both. They are identified as Benjamin David Larson, 41 years, and Billie Jo Patterson, 28 years, both from Redding.

On the afternoon of June 28, 2018, Redding Police Officer Corrigan located and arrested Benjamin Larson. (See attached photo) Larson has an extensive criminal history and is currently on CDC parole. He was arrested for the warrant and booked into the Shasta County Jail on 14 counts of animal cruelty, vehicle theft, and possession of stolen property.

Billie Jo Patterson is currently wanted by the Redding Police Department. We are asking anyone with information to his whereabouts to contact Redding Police at 530-225-4200 or Secret Witness of Shasta County at 530-243-2319. He is described as a white male adult, 5’11”, 200, with brown hair and blue eyes. (See attached photo)
