Whale watching season is in full effect along the North Coast.

Sightseers in Fort Bragg were once again treated to an up-close whale encounter on Monday, when a pod swarmed their boat.

Anchor Charter Boats shared the above footage of the event, showing three whales splashing and spraying only feet away from their boat “Ambush.”

“We had another friendly whale encounter on the Ambush yesterday,” Anchor Charter Boats wrote on Facebook. “The whales came right to the boat while we were sitting in neutral.”

Anchor Charter Boats had a even closer whale encounter last month, when a friendly gray whale came right up to their boat and allowed passengers to pat it’s big whale head. Watch footage of the moment below.
