In what has to be the the most significant celebrity/redwood forest pairing since Brad Pitt rolled in here a few years ago and looked sooooo good, today Netflix released the trailer for its upcoming post-apocalyptic thriller Bird Box featuring a rather high-strung Sandra Bullock pleading with some unknown threatening entity to “PLEASE DON’T TAKE MY CHILDREN!”

Intense! Check that trailer out! Actually, this one looks pretty good!

Outpost readers will recall back in January when we noted the presence of numerous legit-looking film types who’d set up shop up in Del Norte County. Bullock and her pretend children would go on to film major Bird Box sequences in Jedidiah Smith State Park and on the Smith River. Reached for comment Humboldt-Del Norte film commissioner Cassandra Hesseltine said that the around 350-person, big dolla-spendin’ crew was the largest she’s worked with during her tenure.

You ready to watch famous people act scared in your backyard? Not yet! Bird Box — which, in addition to Bullock, stars Sarah Paulson and John Malkovich — premieres on Netflix on Dec. 21, 2018. Hell, invite LoCO over and we’ll watch it together!
