These are precarious times in the restaurant industry right now, especially since Gov. Newsom’s speech yesterday. Bars are being asked to close down and — for now — restaurants are asked to operate at half capacity. 

There are a lot of cooks, counterpeople and servers who are worried about how they’re going to get paid in the coming months. Fortunately, we’re starting to see a lot of local businesses coming up with creative solutions designed not only to keep their own people employed, but to serve a holed-up community in a time of need.
