8:31 a.m.: I know I said I was done with the name changing, but now I'm officially done. It dawned on me that I was not just a photographer anymore. I was and still am writing as much as I am photographing. So I like the new handle as it is fitting I think. Domain name is bought and website is under construction! Print sales coming! 11:45 a.m.: The Mermaid Initiation • It had been weeks that we were sleeping on the beach, sleeping beneath the coastal Redwoods, sleeping in the car.. or rather, not sleeping much, and our only refuge was the abode of God. We were Remembering Who We Are, only not all the way so there was confusion and distress. Where is this strange place? What has happened to our beautiful Earth? Who are these people with no love in their hearts that have over taken everything?? These are not Earth People! We have been asleep for eons!! Earth was not like this last time we were here. Something here had poisoned us to sleep for eons!! We called my sister @brenpax seeking guidance. She gave us Odin reiki long distance. She instructed us: go to the ocean and use reiki to turn it Golden, bathe in it, & don't eat anything whatsoever you haven't blessed and turned Golden! Mama Oceana was colder than cold. The sun was setting and the misty sea air was frigid. I sat in the sand at the edge of the water and scrubbed my feet, then my legs, then my whole body and scalp with the sand. That's when I heard Mermaid's first whispers. Come, you must wash off now, let Mama Oceana bathe you, sweet spirit.. come in the water, this is your Mermaid Initiation. The Northern California coast waves were thrashing. They were too turbulent to see beneath and the evening was growing dark. I can't do it, I'm too scared, it's too dark and too cold, I don't know what's in there. Come in, sweet spirit, this is your initiation.. find your bravery, and find it now! With the next big wave I plunged my whole being in. The shock of cold was great and yet exhilarating. There was so much sand covering my scalp I had no choice but to dive in again and again.. A dozen times floating within the silent cold darkness of Mama Oceana. Your initiation is complete Goddess, I heard Mermaid whisper. I ran, shivering and covered in goosebumps to my twin flame laying on a blanket, recovering from his own initiation. I have never felt so alive he said. He dried me until I stopped shivering. My whole body grew warm as fire. My heart & third eye opened, I mean.. OPENED. And that's when we noticed, human skin smells just like flower petals.

8:33 a.m.: Lenzites betulina, also known as 'the gilled polypore," looks a lot like Trametes versicolor, or turkey tails, with its fuzzy, zoned cap. But if you turn it over, you will find that this little polypore has gills! True gills here, not the maze-like pores of polypores like Daedaleopsis confragosa and similar mushrooms.
