It’s official. With the arrival of June all of Humboldt County’s weekly farmers’ markets are up and running. Compiling the following list, the Lowdown was impressed to discover no less then 10 such regular chances at local produce and goods operating. We’re like a community or something!
Here’s a handy dandy chronological list of where and when you can get yer greens:
- Eureka Farmers’ Market in on F Street in Old Town runs Tuesdays 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Shelter Cove Farmers’ Market at Machi Road runs Tuesdays 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
- Miranda Farmers’ Market at Avenue Cafe runs Tuesdays 2-5 p.m.
- Fortuna Farmers’ Market at 10th and L streets runs Tuesdays from 3-6 p.m.
- Arcata Midweek Farmers’ Market at Wildberries runs Tuesdays 3:30-6:30 p.m.
- Henderson Center Farmers’ Market runs Thursdays 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
- McKinleyville Farmers’ Market at the McKinleyville Shopping Center runs Thursdays 3:30-6:30 p.m.
- Garberville Farmers’ Market in the town square runs Fridays 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
- Arcata Farmers’ Market (mostly) on the Arcata Plaza runs Saturdays 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Ferndale Farmers’ Market on the corner of Shaw and Main runs Saturdays 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
