Sanctuary Forest Radio Hour
KMUD - Redwood Community Radio, Inc.
Please tune in to KMUD on Thursday, July 31st at 7:00pm for the Sanctuary Forest Radio Hour! Join Tasha McKee, Cam Thompson and Walker Wise from Sanctuary Forest as we welcome Sam Flanagan, a geologist from Bureau of Land Management to the show! We’ll be talking about the history of collaboration between BLM and Sanctuary Forest in the headwaters of the Mattole River, which was designated as an Area of Critical Environmental Concern in 2024, which was the first hydrologic designation of its kind. How has our collaboration affected coho recovery? And what does this designation mean in light of recent concerns about the threatened sale of public lands in 11 Western states? We’ll also cover Sanctuary Forest’s upcoming events in 2025, an update on rainfall and streamflow and more.
Listen live or on the archive at www.kmud.org.
There will be an opportunity for listeners to call in during the last quarter of the show.
Stay tuned for our last 2025 radio show on KMUD on October 30.
