From the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:

On 07-13- 2016 at about 6:35 p.m. the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office along with the California Highway Patrol Officers received information that Cody Meyers maybe behind the Hoopa Mini Mart in Hoopa hiding in the brush.

Officers immediately responded and began to check the area for Meyers by walking on trails through the thick brush. Officers located Meyers in the brush area, who then immediately took off running when he saw the officers. After a short foot pursuit, Meyers was taken into custody without further incident. 

Meyers was transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility in Eureka. Meyers has booked in to custody with no bail.
